Fishing & Leisure

You can always get out to fish Red Cedar Lake including Walleye and Northern Pike, since the water is sheltered and never gets too rough. The lake has a deep hole of 100 feet, and there are many other drop offs to explore, as well as lots of shoals and a very irregular bottom. This is home to numerous species of fish, great for Pickerel, and Small Mouth Bass. These waters also contain White Fish, Herring, Ling Cod and Perch.

We are surrounded by thousands of acres of crown land that offer you unlimited opportunities to explore nature. There are trails available for hiking or mountain bikes. If ATV's are your thing, bring them up. It's an excellent place to go for a long ride. We can offer very scenic canoe routes while exploring Red Cedar Lake.

Or, if you like, just put your feet up and enjoy the scenery from the deck of your cottage. In the morning awaken to the fresh aroma of coffee, go outside and listen to the haunting cries of the loons feeding on Loon Bay... watch the otters playing on the calm waters in the warm summer morning, or the great Blue Heron walking silently in the shallow water looking for minnows for breakfast. It's your vacation... it's nice to relax.

Hunting
We are located right in the heart of thousands of hectares of crown forest (Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources Wildlife Management Units 40 and 41), adjacent to a Provincial Crown Game Preserve that spans over 55,000 hectares (215 square miles) of unspoiled wilderness.
There is an opportunity either to hunt the many trails located around the camp or hunt Red Cedar Lake, which has 82.6 miles of shoreline and lots of quiet back trails that are rarely used. It's your choice!
This area offers excellent hunting for moose, bear, small game, grouse or duck. There are different packages available to suit your needs - for one person or for large groups. Please call for more information; we will be happy to help you.
